The 1999 meeting of the Modern Language Association, to be held in late December in Chicago, will include two EDIS-sponsored sessions.

"Emily Dickinson, American Poetry, and Public Culture," to be chaired by Mary Loeffelholz, will include papers by Adam Frank, Jane Eberwein, Elizabeth Hewitt, and Virginia Jackson. A roundtable focusing on "A New Volume of Dickinson's Letters to Susan Dickinson and a New Reading Edition of Dickinson's Poems," chaired by Deborah Cadman, will bring together the views ofTimothy Mmris, Elizabeth Petrino, David Allen Sullivan, Jeanne E. Holland, and Martha Ackmann.
